Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

Vision Statement

With Christ's help we will

  • SHARE the love of Jesus with our community;
  • SUPPORT one another through prayer, study, worship, and fellowship;
  • SERVE others by using our spiritual gifts and talents; and
  • SEND people out to transform the world in Jesus' name.

Our Church Services

Each Sunday before worship we have adult and youth Sunday School, beginning at 9:30 am.

Our Worship service begins at 10:30 am and is a combination of traditional and contemporary music, prayer, and quarterly communion. Message by Pastor Nate Fugate. We provide children's programs before and during the service along with a nursery or quiet room or newborns and toddlers. Our sermons are focused on the real world application of Biblical teachings and each month are centered around a specific verse(s) of the Bible.

All ages attend our service, ranging from newborns to the elderly. We provide bulletins for announcements and service order with special inserts for our younger attendees. We believe that the Holy Spirit is working in so many ways in all ages of people in our congregation and we encourage anyone who desires to grow in their relationship with Christ to join us for services.

During the Advent and Lent seasons, we provide services ecumenically with other churches in the community during church holiday seasons. See our calendar for dates and times!

We would love to have you come to a service and see if SCC is a good fit for you!

A Bit of History

Since 1856 a Methodist congregation has worshipped God in a church at the top of the hill on Main Street in Shreve and reached out to the Shreve community and surrounding area, the nation and the world.

In 1905, the third and present church was built. In 1956, an education wing was added with an upper floor added to it in 1962. In 2003, the current sanctuary and fellowship hall became a reality when it was added to the 1905 building. A family activity center, completed in 2011, is used by the church family and community.

In 2023, the congregation voted to change the name of the church to Shreve Community Church in conjunction with its move to the Global Methodist Church
